The early detection and prognosis of the onset and the rate of re-bar corrosion are the keys to a successful planning of all measures which are necessary to achieve a maximum service life of your concrete structures at a minimum of service life costs. Moreover special attention must be paid in due time to the detection and proper evaluation of the risk of a sudden loss of the bearing capacity caused by stress corrosion cracking in case of pre-stressed structures.
