 Computer-aided tools offer the possibility to calculate the distribution of moisture, temperature and stresses in concrete components. The influence of the ambient conditions, the concrete mix and the placement conditions can be evaluated already at an early age. This way the risk for cracking can be minimized and the necessary reinforcement for the limitation of the crack-width can be designed.
